Reece Oliver
CHAIR
Reece, a senior executive at HWR Group, leads HWR’s Transport operations, as well as holding key governance roles at HWR and with O'Donnell Family Investments (ODFI) in T4 Group, and Blue Sky Meats.
With over 10 years at HWR, Reece’s financial and accounting background, along with London-based Investment Banking experience, compliments his strong operational expertise.
Reece is excited to assist the T4 Executive team to deliver a world-class data centre operated by utilising the existing advantages Southland possesses and the strong knowledge of the industry, New Zealand business environment and Southland community, included within the executive and governance teams.

Scott O’Donnell
DIRECTOR
Scott and his wife Joc own H W Richardson Group, the largest privately owned transport business in New Zealand, boasting a fleet of over 1,400 heavy vehicles. HWR operates across diverse industries, including road transport, petroleum, concrete, road construction, aggregates, logistics, and commercial property.
Scott, after stepping back HWR Group CEO in 2015, led the $180m Invercargill Central project, a joint venture to rejuvenate the city's CBD, alongside investments in local tourism operations.
Acknowledging its strong growth potential and the positive economic impact it will bring the Southland region, Scott is excited to be involved in the T4 Group.

Dean Addie
CEO, CRO, DIRECTOR
Dean is a shareholder, director, and CEO of the T4 group.
Dean is a family man, is proud of his European and Māori whakapapa and has extensive experience in incorporating Te Ao Māori into businesses that he has been involved in.
With an extensive background in Sales and Client development, as well as broader commercial and governance engagement, Dean offers invaluable insights and experience. Along with this he also brings significant knowledge and experience in large-scale project development.
Dean plays a pivotal role in the development of T4's close-knit engagement with the communities that T4 operate in, ensuring strong and meaningful connections.
Dean is a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management and Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors.

David Simpson
CFO, DIRECTOR
David, the co-founder of a cutting-edge, low emission advisory and finance enterprise that started in 2020 with an investment boost from NZGIF, now serves as the interim COO. His extensive journey in the IT sector, particularly in Software advisory closely linked to the Data Centre industry, has honed his expertise.
Back in the 1990s, David co-founded a small investment firm and subsequently ventured into consultancy in 2008. Over the years, he has shared his knowledge and insights with a diverse range of businesses across multiple industries, spanning tourism, forestry, service, and manufacturing. From humble startups to businesses with a national presence, David has made his mark. His wealth of experience is a driving force in the creation and development of this business.

Jason Porter
CTO, CDO
With over 30 years of experience in the ICT industry, Jason has had an extensive career journey. His path led him to Hitachi Data Services in 2001, where he was a pivotal part of creating Revera as a member of the Senior Leadership team in 2003. He assumed various leadership roles within Revera, overseeing the data centre and technical business, achieving consecutive years of double-digit growth.
In 2019, during the merger of Revera and Spark, Jason transitioned to an independent management consultant role, offering strategic insights. Afterward, he served as the Chief Cloud Officer, Asia Pacific at Conrad Properties Group from December 2020 to February 2022.

Alistair Matthew
CISO
With 40 years in IT, Alistair's journey spans New Zealand and his native Scotland, encompassing both multi-national and NZ organisations. He joined IBM in 1999, specialising in security and compliance, eventually assuming the role of CISO for their New Zealand Cloud operations. This continued with Kyndryl post-separation from IBM in 2021.
Alistair's extensive expertise led him to become an Associate Director and Delivery Partner, servicing local cloud customers and data centre clients. He's been intricately linked with the East Tamaki Data Centre since its 2010 inception.
In 2023, Alistair joined T4 as the CISO and ISO deployment officer, with a primary focus on safeguarding the security, integrity, and availability of the data and IT systems with the data centre.

Resiliency
The T4 Auckland Data Centre is Tier 3+, strategically located in a low-risk site, 30+ meters above sea level, outside of the Auckland Volcanic Field, not in a flood plain, and in a low seismic risk area. It features dual-site access for power and communications, ensuring reliable power with backup generators.
Security
The T4 Data Centre is securely situated with controlled access points, a dedicated security control room, and 24/7 support for access and monitoring.
Cloud Enablement
The T4 Data Centre is equipped for virtualisation, auto provisioning, metering, billing, and integrated service management.

New Zealand’s first Tier 4 Data Centre, designed to provide unprecedented uptime and reliability. Leading edge efficiency and design and powered exclusively by hydro and solar energy with low PUE means this is the lowest emission Data Centre in New Zealand.

The Data Centre will be situated in Invercargill, strategically chosen for its geographic advantages and accessibility. The Data Centre site provides natural cooling benefits and proximity to independent dual power GXPs, ensuring best in class efficiency.

The facility incorporates a world-leading cooling system, utilising direct water-cooling technology. This not only enhances energy efficiency but also minimises the environmental impact, aligning with sustainable practices.

This facility will offer both Tier 4 and Tier 3 options, providing clients with flexible choices based on their specific requirements for redundancy, reliability, resilience, and uptime.
